Born in Singapore but now based in Melbourne Australia, Luke T commenced his journey into music from the age of 4 with classical training. In the early 1980s, Luke T’s musical foundation was developed through the ‘Suzuki Method’ where he learnt both violin and piano. Due to schooling commitments, Luke T put his musical education on hold, having achieved certification in Grade 7 violin and Grade 5 piano.

In 1995, following his passion in music again, Luke T formed a band. Together with his friends, he played rhythm guitar and the bass. It was through the band’s jam sessions, that he discovered a unique ability to playback complex pieces of music in their solo-ed tracks (piano chords, guitar solos & bass rifts) with ease and accuracy without the assistance of any notation or score.

Only later in 2004, the term ‘having perfect/absolute pitch’ made sense to him through a friend when Luke T was complimented on having the ability to ‘hear’ the phone numbers when his friend was making phone calls.

Completing his university education from the RMIT with a Bachelor of Professional Communications (Television Production), Luke T pursued his interest in music by embarking on further education. He supplemented his tertiary qualifications with a Certificate IV in Audio Engineering at SAE.
There, he learned the fundamentals of audio engineering and its wide applications.

Practical experience at SAE opened up a whole new avenue of musical expression for Luke T. His education and experience at SAE led him to create experimental works from foley/sound fx, to writing music across different genres such as new age, dance and experimental.

Keen to develop a career in audio, Luke T has worked in an array of Melbourne clubs and bars doing live audio mixing, which in turn, propelled him into the world of Disc Jockeying and broadcasting (with Channel 31).

In order to expand his knowledge and experience, Luke T acquired further technical and project management experience in the corporate events industry, having worked for industry leaders, ‘Staging Connections’, ‘Harry the Hirer’ and ‘Avantage’. Working his way up the ranks, Luke T progressed from a junior technician to an account / project manager on a range of events from government conferences to large-scale corporate functions and national sporting events.

Being confounded with the diverse scope of experience and work directions, Luke T took a break end 2008, to realign his career focus. After exploring the breadth of possibilities, he decided to embark on his initial journey of creating music. Of producing aural expressions in giving his soul a voice to speak and to also compose and arrange pieces for commercial applications. In exploring the deep recesses to create, Luke T is also actively seeking nurturing partners / employers who can put this instrument (himself) to use!

“To marry melody, harmony and memorable songwriting with the most bleeding-edge technology possible is my passion. These are the things that excite me.” – Brian Wayne Transeau (BT).

Nobody’s Home
Genre : Experimental

‘Just a whisper in your head, any moment you’ll be dead…’
The front door’s locked, rusted gates, the flicker of a blown fluorescent globe in the back room and the hum of the insect trap glowing at the corner… He opens the drawer, only to find a rusted camping knife. He flips it open.. Moments past.. He lays on the floor, in a pool of his own blood, the phone rings but its not in his reach.. His last memory? The final journal entry he wrote.. As each heartbeat resonates through his whole body, slowly draining his life away, the phone finally stops ringing… He feels free, a certain feeling of weightlessness, he looks back down only to realise that the moment has come..the moment that he has been waiting for…
